Mike's Transmissions LLC

How often should I service my automatic transmission?

Mike recommends every 24 months or 24,000 miles for normal driving and 15,000 to 20,000 miles for severe driving. Don't forget that standard transmissions need to be serviced every 35,000 miles, the same applies to differentials and transfer cases.

My transmission has a leak, what should I do?

First thing is to make sure the fluid level is correct (consult your owners manual), then call Mike and schedule a free leak inspection. Leak repairs can be as simple as a cooler line or as major as a front seal.

My check engine light is on, what does it mean?

When the check engine light comes on that tells you that one of the computers that control your vehicle has seen some kind of error. It could be as simple as a loose gas cap or as serious as a failed sensor. But don't worry just call or come by Mike's for a free computer scan.

Aren't all fluids created equal?

No, as a matter of fact, not too many years ago there were approximately 5 different fluids. Now there are over 25 variations, always check your owners manual or just call Mike for the proper fluid.
